Kelly Penton Promoted to Senior Account Director at Schwartz Media Strategies

Kelly Penton fullMIAMI, FL – November 17, 2011 – Miami-based public relations and marketing firm Schwartz Media Strategies announces that Kelly Penton has been promoted to the role of Senior Account Director. In this capacity, Ms. Penton will spearhead media relations and marketing campaigns and lend strategic counsel to clients in the firm’s professional and legal services, municipal affairs, real estate and arts practices.

Since joining the firm as Account Director in late 2010, Ms. Penton has been involved in the management of comprehensive public relations and marketing campaigns for clients including the Miami Downtown Development Authority, the Resorts World Miami and Brickell House real estate developments, Miami Art Museum, Adrienne Arsht Center, Bilzin Sumberg, and Lydecker Diaz.

Ms. Penton has more than a decade of experience in public relations and community affairs prior to joining Schwartz Media Strategies, having served as director of communications for the City of Miami and press secretary in the Office of the Mayor from 2001-2009. She directed communications for FairDistrictsFlorida.org, a successful statewide redistricting reform campaign, in 2010.

Ms. Penton serves on the steering committee for Miami Art Museum’s MAM Contemporaries young professionals group and on the board of directors for the Injured Officers Assistance Fund. A Miami native, she earned a master’s degree in business administration from Florida international University and a bachelor’s degree in communications from the Florida State University.
