Remembering the Holocaust

Holocaust Remembrance Day is this week, so we at Soundbytes thought we would share the story of someone who is doing something for a cause that is near and dear to the hearts of many South Floridians.

AndyHall2-630x276Andrew Hall, founding partner at Hall Lamb & Hall, was born into the Holocaust in Warsaw, Poland in 1944. As a result, he has dedicated his life to representing victims of terror.

“I have a profound commitment – always have had – to oppose the abusive power,” he explained to the Huffington Post in this interview. In 1992, Hall took on his first case defending a victim of terror; ultimately, he would win the case after 11 ½ years, and create groundbreaking strides for victims and their families. Moreover, Hall says, states who sponsor terrorism will know they are being held accountable in courtrooms across the United States.

A community-wide commemoration will be held in honor of Holocaust Remembrance Day on Sunday, April 27, 2013 at 6:00 pm at the Holocaust Memorial of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation.
