1400 Biscayne Center Celebrates Spanish Immigration to the US & Puerto Rico

A photographical exhibit celebrating the history of Spanish immigration to the US and Puerto Rico is on display this month at 1400 Biscayne Center.

1400 Biscayne Center Event Banner - low res_0.previewThe exhibition features more than 60 photos of generations of Spaniards who immigrated to the United States and Puerto Rico since 1880.

The exhibition’s inauguration held Thursday, Sept. 29 was attended by dozens of South Floridians, including many of Spanish roots. Among local and national leaders present at the event were the Consulate General of Spain in Miami, Cristina Barrios y Almanzor, and the Labor and Immigration Counselor from the Spanish Embassy in Washington, DC, Elisa Carolina de Santos.

The exhibition, displaying 69 photographs, runs through November 4th at 1400 Biscayne Boulevard, a property owned by Espacio USA, a real estate development firm with roots in Spain.
