MIAMI, FL – October 1, 2008 – Aaron W. Gordon has been named vice president of Schwartz Media Strategies, a Miami-based marketing communications firm. Mr. Gordon will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations at the firm and providing clients with strategic counsel in the areas of media relations, direct marketing, advertising, and web development.
News of Mr. Gordon’s hire comes on the heels of the firm’s recent office relocation and the ongoing expansion of its client roster. Schwartz Media Strategies has relocated to Miami’s Coconut Grove neighborhood, and is now headquartered in the Offices at Grand Bay Plaza, 2665 South Bayshore Drive, Suite 730, Miami, Florida 33133.
Additionally, in the past six months, the firm has added a number of new clients, including Cushman & Wakefield of Florida, the world’s largest independent commercial real estate services firm; the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts; Hall Lamb and Hall P.A., a Miami law firm specializing in complex commercial litigation; and CREW-Miami (Commercial Real Estate Women), the preeminent business organization for women and men in commercial real estate.

Prior to joining Schwartz Media Strategies, Mr. Gordon served as Creative Director for The Weinbach Group, a Miami advertising, marketing, and public relations firm. Here, he spearheaded the firm’s creative output for clients including the University of Miami Health System (UHealth), Trivest Partners, and the University of Miami Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center. He was also instrumental in leading the firm’s media relations work on behalf of clients including Ladenburg Thalmann Financial Services, Community Capital Management, and the Town of Cutler Bay.
A Miami native, Mr. Gordon moved back to his hometown in 2004 after handling communications efforts for a number of political campaigns in Missouri, including that of former Governor Bob Holden and U.S. congressional candidate Jeff Smith. Upon returning to South Florida, he worked at rbb in Coral Gables, Florida. It was here that he met Mr. Schwartz. In 2002, prior to his work in politics, he managed community and public relations at ArtSouth, a non-profit arts and cultural center in Homestead, Florida.
Mr. Gordon earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington University in St. Louis, where he studied political science and art history. He is active in Shake-A-Leg Miami, Washington University’s Regional Cabinet, as well as the University’s Alumni and Parents Admissions Program, for which he serves as chair. He is also on the board of directors for ArtSouth.
