MIAMI, FL- April 12, 2009 – Alisha Marks has been named Director of Schwartz Media Strategies, a Miami-based public relations and marketing firm. As Director, she is responsible for spearheading the firm’s national and regional media relations activities, and providing strategic counsel to its professional services and municipal affairs clients.
Prior to joining Schwartz Media Strategies, Ms. Marks served as senior account executive for rbb, a Florida-based public relations agency. In this role, she directed the strategy and implementation for a number of the firm’s corporate and non-profit clients, including Florida Power & Light Company, The National Parkinson Foundation; Miami-based accounting firm Morrison, Brown, Argiz & Farra; and The Girl Scout Council of Tropical Florida.

Before moving to Miami in 2005, Ms. Marks was an account manager at Fletcher Martin Public Relations in Atlanta, where she handled media relations and marketing programs for the firm’s business-to-business clients. Additionally, she served as the Southeast area manager for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) – the nation’s second largest lobby organization – where she oversaw its grassroots mobilization, political communications, and community outreach efforts throughout the southern states.
Alisha earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, where she studied political science and communications.
