Bloomberg: In 2011, museum building gets back on track; Miami Art Museum a “highlight.”

It’s no secret that the arts and culture sector suffered a blow during the recession, with fewer donations, de-prioritized for federal and state funding, and fewer customers.

The end result? Museum-building projects around the country were halted or scrapped, though thanks to public and private support  our own Miami Art  Museum‘s construction moved forward.   Despite the widespread troubles the sector has seen over the last few years, according to today’s Bloomberg news, 2011 will be a “banner year” for museum building and renovation.
