Drive for Dollars next week at the UM Life Science & Technology Park

The University of Miami Life Science & Technology Park (UMLSTP), located at 1951 NW 7th Avenue on the east end of the Health District, is partnering with the Overtown Music Project and Lincoln Automotive in a special test drive event featuring Lincoln’s brand new lineup of 2013 hybrid vehicles.

hybridThe event, which takes place Friday September 7th from 10am to 3pm, is part of Lincoln’s national Intelligence Project, which empowers cities across the U.S. to compete for dollars benefitting nonprofit organizations.

Each driver who gets behind the wheel will receive $20 with the option to donate the money to the Overtown Music Project’s education and outreach programs.

Local R&B and blues legend Bobby Stringer will perform with Tree Top from 12pm to 2pm and light refreshments will be served. The event is free and open to the public, so spread the word and come on out to the UM Life Science & Technology Park to drive for dollars this Friday.
