Free Trolleys, Name Your Price Rickshaws, And Water Taxis, Oh My

Getting around downtown Miami just got easier thanks to three new options.

Miami, we love you but sometimes your traffic is exhausting. Between construction on Brickell, the MacArthur, the Palmetto, and 1,094 other side streets, and the rising cost of gas and parking we’re thrilled to have more options for making our way through the 305.

Miami Trolley

Free public transportation running from southern Brickell to the Omni section of Downtown Miami? Sign us up! The new trolleys will run Monday through Saturday with service approximately every fifteen minutes from 6:30am to 11pm. You can also catch it on Sundays during Heat games.

Water Taxi Miami

As picturesque as driving to Miami Beach can be, the traffic on the causeways iscan quickly turn nightmarish. Skip the gridlock and instead opt for a soothing scenic ride courtesy of Water Taxi Miami. A roundtrip ticket will set you back $20 but you can usually find discounts on the WTM website. Pickup locations include Downtown, South Beach and Midbeach (the Eden Roc and Fontainbleu). Service begins at 9:30am and usually stops around 8pm.

Tropical Pedicabs

Possibly the most environmentally friendly of the three, pedicabs offer a touch of la vie bohemian with a dash of hipster. Once you’ve arrived at your destination you must decide how much that ride was worth to you, because Tropical operates on a pay-what-you-think-it’s-worth-system.
