GDS Summit takes center stage

Any lingering doubt about the nation’s perception of Miami’s real estate market were put to bed on November 6th and 7th, when more than 300 business leaders and commercial real estate professionals attended the 6th Annual Global Diversity Summit, held in Miami for the first time this year. Miami developer Jorge Perez and former Miami Mayor and Senior Partner at Lydecker Diaz Manny Diaz served as keynote speakers for the national commercial real estate summit, which took place at the Adrienne Arsht Center.

The conference couldn’t have come at a better time. Sectors including office, retail, hospitality and industrial, are seeing increased investment activity that is driving our local economy. Downtown Miami was a fitting backdrop for the event, with dozens of cranes piercing the skyline once again. It’s a sharp contrast versus two years ago, when our city was a poster child for the real estate crash.

For two days, top business executives from across the country had an opportunity to see firsthand the strong recovery our market is experiencing, making connections that may lead to future investments in Miami. Schwartz Media Strategies, as an event sponsor, had a front-row seat at this year’s summit. Here’s a gallery of some of our favorite photos.
