The British invasion comes to Brickell

In Miami, it’s easy to see the Latin influence, and we’ve been talking about the impact of Latin American buyers in the current building cycle. But there’s another group of investors that’s been having an impact, and they are set to take the limelight this week: The Brits.

DSC_6732From March 6-12, the Union Jack will be spotted around town, in honor of “Brit Week,” a week-long series of events dedicated to highlighting the fast growing business and cultural relationship between Great Britain and Florida. Developed to highlight the achievements and impact of British business in the state, BritWeek Miami is in alliance with UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the British Consulate-General Miami and a series of strategic media, event and industry partners – each collectively helping to bring a focus on the dynamic and fast growing cultural relationship between Britain and Florida.

While investors from Latin America dominate Miami’s market, the United Kingdom is actually the second largest investor in Florida with more than 340 British-affiliated companies currently in operation. On Friday, March 7th, The Bond on Brickell hosted a modern version of a British street party in honor of Brit Week, and featured several icons of British glamor, such as the Jaguar F-type. You can see more photos of the event below, and the full album here.
