Blanca Gets Doral Leasing Assignment

GLOBEST.COM & REAL ESTATE FLORIDA / August 2009

MIAMI-Locally based Blanca Commercial Real Estate has landed its second significant leasing assignment nearly six months after the firm’s launch. It is now taking on those duties at the new One Park Square at Doral office building, part of a 51-acre mixed-use development.

Tere Blanca, the firm’s president and CEO, was hired by building owner Shoma Group based on her long-term relationships in the Miami corporate and brokerage communities, as well as her expertise in the South Florida marketplace. Blanca, who currently chairs Miami’s Beacon Council economic development partnership, previously served as senior managing director with Cushman & Wakefield before departing to start her own company in March.

Blanca says she expects 281,000-square-foot One Park Square to set a new standard for office space in the Doral submarket near Miami International Airport. “The property’s large floor plates, class-A finishes and visibility from the Palmetto Expressway make it particularly appealing to businesses seeking to establish a regional presence in South Florida,” she says.

Darryl Robinson, principal of Oak Hill Advisors, will assist Blanca with leasing and marketing at One Park Square. Robinson has previous consulting, development, investment sales and tenant representation experience with a broad range of commercial real estate owners.

One Park Square is the latest score for Blanca Commercial Real Estate. In April, the firm was chosen as leasing representative for 1450 Brickell, a 35-story office tower being built by Rilea Group in Downtown Miami.

Blanca says her firm’s independent brokerage and advisory model allows it to create strategic alliances with other similar firms while complementing its own expertise. “In a relationship-driven industry such as commercial real estate,” she says, “having the flexibility to do what’s best for the client is paramount.”
