This week’s South Florida Business Journal includes the 2018 list of our region’s largest public relations firms, as ranked by earned revenue in 2017. Schwartz Media Strategies comes in at #8, capping three straight years in the annual list’s top-10.
Our first year on the list was 2009 and we have gradually moved up the rankings ever since – always prioritizing steady growth, rather than expanding too large, too fast.
From day one, we’ve taken steps to create a sustainable business that evolves and grows in line with the needs of our clients, trends in our industry and vertical sectors, and the trajectory of our state and local economy.
Just as important, this model has allowed us to become embedded in the fabric of our communities — by working with companies making a positive impact, volunteering our time to nonprofits, and becoming involved with organizations and causes we believe in.
The growth we’ve achieved since our founding in 2005 has been the result of efficiency, consistency and integration:
- Efficiency: We’ve always concentrated on staying lean and resourceful when it comes to our operations and overhead – adding clients and new team members steadily over time to keep up with our firm’s changing needs, and those of our clients. This approach has allowed us to remain scalable and flexible while growing organically and methodically at a measured pace.
- Consistency: The way we run our teams, the internal protocols we have in place, and our focus on keeping our people and clients for the long-term all result in consistency. We’re proud of the fact that we’ve kept clients dating back a decade, which is no small feat in our industry. That’s the result of the relationships we’ve built over the years, and the reliable results we deliver.
- Integration: Our industry is changing at warp speed. Today we provide services that go beyond media relations, including marketing, social media, and content creation — none of which were offered when our firm launched 13 years ago. The full-service nature of our company means we are able to build integrated campaigns specially tailored to a clients’ goals.
The net-net of this is that we’ve built a stable company designed to evolve and grow in line with the needs of our clients, trends in our industry and vertical sectors, and the trajectory of our state and local economy.
All of this begins and ends with our team members, who do their part each day by delivering a high level of service to our clients, contributing to our firm marketing initiatives, staying involved in the community, and bringing ideas to the table that make our company better.
And, of course, we’d be nowhere without our clients — some of which have been with us from the beginning, and many of whom have become personal friends over the years. Our clients have kept us creative and curious for the past 13 years. For that, we thank you!
