We’ve all seen Downtown Miami’s revitalization over recent years – now, it seems, we are ready to move into the next wave.
The Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce has recently appointed Danet Linares as the chair of their New World Center Committee, along with Schwartz Media Strategies president Tadd Schwartz as Vice Chair.
The duo is set to inject new energy into downtown’s development. The committee will serve to strengthen the downtown Miami’s business community voice by engaging decision makers locally, at the state level, and federally. Moreover, they will seek to invite new members to the committee, bringing new ideas to the table on how to continue Downtown Miami’s growth.
The specific goals laid out by the committee is to lead the charge that will catalyze further revitalization of Greater Downtown Miami by making the city’s waterfront more accessible to the public. In addition, they hope to improve conditions at street level.
Linares says that she looks “forward to working with our members to advance downtown’s emergence as one of the world’s most dynamic urban districts.” Schwartz added, “Downtown Miami is no longer viewed as Miami Beach’s sidekick. The urban core is thriving, and it is our mission to ensure that it continues to grow.”
