We’ve previously talked about how investing in Miami’s education system will only continue to drive the growth of the urban core. At City Year Miami’s upcoming Paint the Town Red gala, you can learn all about how one of the city’s most impactful nonprofits is taking on this task, while also supporting their efforts.
This Saturday at 7pm, at the University of Miami’s Student Center Complex Ballroom, South Florida’s most influential corporate, nonprofit, and community leaders will come together in support of City Year Miami. Considered one of the most high-energy, highly-anticipated events of Miami’s benefit season, the Paint the Town Red gala celebrates the work of more than 200 City Year Miami corps members, and raises funds for the organization’s in-school outreach programs.
“City Year Miami’s impact within the Miami-Dade County Public School system has grown exponentially in recent years, and we have bold plans to expand our reach even further in 2014,” said Saif Ishoof, Executive Director of City Year Miami. “The financial support we receive through our Paint the Town Red Gala will provide the funding necessary for recruiting additional corps members and entering new schools next year. That involvement will make a direct, positive difference in the lives of students attending at-risk schools across our community.”
Paint the Town Red tickets and sponsorships are still available. Individual tickets cost $150. Event sponsorship levels begin at $5,000. To RSVP or ask about sponsorship please contact Keith “Fletch” Fletcher, Managing Director of Development, 305. 778-5579, or via email at kfletcher@cityyear.org .
