Each year, real estate gurus and policymakers from across Florida come together for the Urban Land Institute’s annual statewide summit. They spend two days tackling the most significant issues affecting all corners of the state.
With developers from around the world flocking to Florida like bees to a hive and infrastructure around the state receiving major upgrades, this year’s summit is set to be a hit. Panel discussions, featured speakers and breakout sessions will cover topics including public-private partnerships, urban infill development, sustainability, the future of residential development, financing trends, university-led development, passenger rail and transit oriented development, among others.
The conference provides a forum where members and attendees can gain knowledge that will help them make shrewd real estate and land use decisions, as well as provide an opportunity to network with Florida’s heaviest hitters in real estate. The keynote speaker this year will be Carl Hiaasen, the beloved author and journalist known for his hilarious stories and outspoken advocacy for smart and sustainable development. In addition to his regular column in the Miami Herald, he has written several best-selling novels, including Star Island, Nature Girl and Skinny Dip.
This year’s will take place on June 12-13 at Walt Disney World’s Swan Resort in Orlando. Schwartz Media is proud to be sponsoring this year’s summit, along with Bank of America/Merrill Lynch, Akerman, Bilzin Sumberg, Greenberg Taurig, Gunster, Minto, Barron Collier Company, Franklin Street, and Newland Communities.
