Fernandez, who has been with the company since 2011, previously served as a senior account executive in the firm’s real estate and professional services practice. The personnel moves coincide with ongoing growth at the firm, marked by the addition of new public and private sector clients across Florida and the expansion of services offered—with an emphasis on digital marketing, social media and the creation of multilingual content.
“We’ve always prioritized growing organically by investing in people and cultivating talent from within,” says Tadd Schwartz, President of Schwartz Media Strategies. “As our industry changes and our campaigns evolve, we are in a position to meet our clients’ current needs while pushing the envelope when it comes to building brands and winning market share.”
Fernandez joined the firm in 2011 following several years as a business and real estate journalist. As account director, she manages client relationships, develops bilingual media relations and marketing campaigns, uncovers new business opportunities, and oversees social media initiatives across the firm’s commercial real estate and professional services practices. She serves as a board member for Switchboard Miami’s Women’s Leadership Council and as a facilitator for the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce Leadership Miami program.
Forres will serve as a senior account executive, with a hands-on role in media relations, marketing and social media initiatives for the firm’s legal, real estate and hospitality practices. She previously worked on a number of media relations and communications campaigns for social and environmental international NGOs, including Oxfam America, the World Resources Institute and the Environmental Investigation Agency. Forres began her career as a reporter working for Washington, D.C.’s local National Public Radio affiliate.
