As we prepare for 2016, we would be remiss if we didn’t take a look back at another great year of Schwartz Media Strategies blog posts. Whether it was the engaging content, our strategic marketing mix or a combination of both, our beloved Soundbytes blog broke visitor and page view records. We present you with the top five most popular Schwartz Media articles of 2015:
5. Underwater Truth: A dive in Miami Marine Stadium basin
The Miami International Boat Show’s proposed move to the historic Miami Marine Stadium site raised a multitude of concerns and questions. High among them was what was really in the basin. The Boat Show claimed the area that had been dredged in 1964 contained only silty sand. Environmentalists and Schwartz Media Strategies cried foul.
On the eve of the Miami-Dade Commission vote where the Boat Show was asking for a 10-year permit, we released an underwater dive video showing 30 different species of marine life including nine on Florida’s protected list which call the basin home. After being shared on Facebook 113 times (and counting), the blog post made the number 5 spot on our list. Most importantly, the event’s permit was limited to two years and came with a boatload (pun very much intended) of stringent regulations and restrictions.
4. 20 Questions with Jami Baker
We all love Jami Baker but we didn’t realize how much you love her as well. Perhaps it’s her ability to whip up top media hits almost as quickly as she whips up her signature French toast soufflé or her no-nonsense, eye on the prize drive. Whatever the reason, twenty questions with our powerhouse publicist came in at number four for the year. Jami, are you up for fifty questions in 2016?
Jami makes the list again but this time it’s for her advice. High stress levels and high expectations go hand-in-hand in the public relations industry. To help Schwartz Media Strategies’ new team members and public relations professionals everywhere, Jami pulled together her top tips for a successful day. In additional to countless shares and re-shares on social media, the article was picked up by PR News.

Coming in at number two, “Miami condos go Manhattan” puts the area’s newest projects side-by-side with iconic New York buildings. As developers try to attract domestic buyers from the North, there is no denying that Miami is becoming the Manhattan of the South.
