Schwartz Media Strategies ranked among South Florida’s top PR agencies

For the second year running, Schwartz Media Strategies has been voted among South Florida’s top 3 Public Relations Firms by the Daily Business Review’s Reader Rankings. Soundbytes caught up with founder and CEO Tadd Schwartz to learn about the firm’s secrets for success, and why rankings like these matter.

DBR Schwartz Top FirmSoundbytes: Congratulations on the DBR ranking. What do you think propelled SMS into the top 3 again this year?

Tadd Schwartz: Thanks. It turns out more than 9,000 votes were cast by business people across South Florida, so this is very much a peer review process. That credibility carries a lot of weight in the business world. I think our firm is carving a niche in the public relations space – we are earning a reputation as the preferred agency for companies looking to enter the Florida market and expand here. Our team members and existing clients have been valuable ambassadors for our brand.

SB: How has 2013 stacked up in terms of firm growth?

TS: We continue to expand our firm’s capabilities, employee base and clientele. We’re working with clients across all of Florida’s major sectors, from real estate and finance, to hospitality, law and technology. Most of our clients are based here in Florida, but our media relations, marketing and digital media campaigns stretch across the US and into key international markets.

SB: Which new clients has the firm brought on in the past year?

Tadd SchwartzTS: Since 2012 we have added Walmart, Jones Lang LaSalle, the InterContinental Miami, Miami Science Museum, Melo Group and Pinnacle Housing Group to our client roster, among others. This small sample gives you a good idea of our diverse client base.

SB: How do your campaigns for these seemingly different clients shift depending on the company’s industry or goals?

TS: No matter the client or the sector in which they work, our campaigns help companies and organizations reach their core audiences – locally, nationally and internationally – with the goal of generating new business and building increased brand value. We achieve this through proactive media relations, target marketing and digital media tactics that reach online audiences. That’s been our recipe for success since day one.
